CommandHMI with Siemens S7-1200 (and S7-300 S7-400)

 

Note: The Simatic S7-1200 (TCP/IP) driver must also be selected for the S7-300, S7-400 for the operation to be successful.

Some versions of the S7-1200 firmware have a security setting to allow or disallow put-get communications. Put-get communications must be allowed.

Port 102 must be used

There are two methods of accessing data: “symbolic” and “absolute”.
In the case of a link with S7-1200 data blocks: the data blocks do not have to be defined on an optimised data structure. Access to M-bits (structured in bits/word/word size) will not be a problem.
