Direct weighing with a load cell without amplifier on low-voltage differential input
The load cell is excited at 12 V, connected to “thermocouple” input B1 of an ACE-1450 set to 0.256 V
Can also be made with ACE-3090 or ACE-7096
The load cell is 10kg with a ratio of 1mV/V
A scale is used to make the conversion here in 2 points, it could have more for greater precision
We make an average measurement of the weight over a period of a few seconds to calm down the measurement
We simulated vibrations and the variation in weight can be significant, up to 50g less but nothing more, it’s amazing!
Conclusion: it works, it saves a few euros and there’s one less risk associated with the amplifier.
