How to Backup/Export an HMI Project and Restore/Import it to another PC

 

The HMI project is saved in the directory you defined when you created it. By default it is in C:\Program Files (x86)\HMIToolx.x.x.x\Project

Unfortunetly, project files are stored in a directory with an absolute path. The entire path from root (C:) must be the same on another PC.

It means that if you copy “manually” the project directory to another PC, you may not have the images and other external files displayed in HMI-Tool.

The solution may be to recreate the same path on the other PC.

But to avoid this, Pack/Unpack moves the project to another directory or PC.

Backup/Export

  1. Browse where you want to backup your project
  2. Enter a file name for your project (.skr will be added)
  3. Press “Compresing“

Restore/Import

  1. Browse to your backuped project file (.skr)

  2. Browse where you want to restore your project

  3. Enter a file name for your project (.skm will be added)

  4. Press “Zipping“
